Celerity Addresses PCI Compliance for Mobile Communication Products Firm
McLEAN, VA – Celerity’s Information Security and IT Risk Management team recently assisted a leading supplier of wireless and mobile communication products in addressing their Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) conformance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations with their accepted card brands. As an organization in operation since the early 1950s, they faced numerous challenges with legacy technologies, applications and systems in relation to how cardholder data was collected, stored, transmitted, and processed.
The Celerity team was engaged to assess and improve the current Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) in order to provide a greater level of assurance around the successful auditability of PCI business processes and technical solutions. Celerity reviewed the previous year’s SAQ, conducted on site stakeholder interviews, and provided an updated SAQ as well as a gap analysis against the PCI standard.
“Conformance to the PCI standards is critical in protecting the consumer. The firm is responding quickly to our recommendations and understands the associated impacts,” said Ken Kauffman, Director of Solutions Architecture.
Information Security and IT Risk Management continue to be an eminent priority across companies in all industries. See other Information Security and IT Compliance client case studies.
