Celerity Feeds Hundreds of Families through Food For Others
McLEAN, VA – Celerity’s Business Process Management (BPM) team recently volunteered with Food For Others, the largest distributor of free food for the underprivileged and working poor in the Northern Virginia area, since 1995. Food For Others delivers bulk distributions of food to more than 30 charitable organizations that support homeless shelters, church and community center pantries as well as deliveries to the elderly.
The Celerity team enjoyed the afternoon, working on-site at a local Fairfax warehouse. The group organized and compiled well over 500 care packages of food, working in teams to strategically tackle the warehouse as quickly and efficiently as possible. “It was great to see everyone working together. Knowing we were helping hundreds of local families really energized us to continue,” said Jamie Tolson, BPM Practice Specialist.
