Challenge: Our client was faced with regulatory changes impacting the manner in which consumer lending data was captured, processed and stored. Furthermore, our client desired to adapt to new industry data standards in order to strategically modify critical technology capabilities while ensuring regulatory compliance. In order to address this challenge, our client sought a rapidly scalable and adaptable team of technologists that could design, develop and implement the solution within federally mandated timeframes.
Solution: Celerity worked closely with the client to understand the scope of the work and the client environment, creating an approach that provided the required technical expertise while leveraging client resources and subject matter expertise. Through a Managed Services engagement model, Celerity provided application design and development expertise to build a complex framework that ensures data integrity and versioning. The framework complies with the regulatory requirements and industry data standards and is being targeted as an enterprise solution to be utilized on other corporate initiatives as well.
Results: Celerity and the client have executed the project in alignment with all objectives under a shared risk model. Celerity’s efforts enabled the client to leverage internal expertise and resources seamlessly with Celerity’s technology team. Working together, the client and Celerity have created a solution that ensures compliance with the data capture and storage requirements administered by the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO).
Challenge: Celerity’s client required assistance in evaluating and implementing next generation 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) technologies as an additional offering to their existing 4G WiMAX data mobility solution. Implementing 4G LTE involved a complete redesign of the client’s mobile network infrastructure including the selection of technology vendors and products. The client expects to increase its customer base and decrease its churn rate from the improved coverage and reliability of this significant network investment.
Solution: Celerity deployed a team of Radio Frequency Engineers to engage with the client to design and execute testing of various network and core components being evaluated for inclusion on the network. Through well-defined simulation and controlled exercises, the team is enabling the client to effectively evaluate vendor hardware solutions and ensure that the provided solutions meet the client’s customer focused operational goals. In addition, Celerity is partnering with the client’s leadership team to develop the high level business view of this network upgrade and drive the development of the integrated test strategy.
Results: Celerity’s ability to rapidly assemble an approach and team, and integrate this team into the overall program helped the client ensure the initiative remained on track. While the project is still underway, the Celerity team quickly came up to speed and is playing a critical role in the testing and evaluation process. The team’s initial success has positioned the client to meet its expectation of coming to market in 2012 with a nationwide LTE network to support customer growth and product development needs.
Challenge: Celerity’s client needed a technology roadmap for digital media and content that would ultimately improve the efficiency and cost effectiveness in how employees search, find, use, and share digital media and content. The client’s vision was to reduce complexity and provide ways to share content across departments and platforms allowing for quick and easy access to data in the format and context desired.
Solution: Celerity worked directly with the Chief Technology Office (CTO) and the Technology Counsel to create blueprints, business cases and a technology roadmap for enterprise wide digital media and content management. Celerity’s team brought digital media, technology integration and web presence expertise to quickly initiate a “Project Blueprint” of the existing server-based applications, asset management systems, and digital rights management systems used at the client. This blueprint will feed the development of a technology roadmap for integrating the best-of-breed systems in an efficient, well architected, user-friendly and cost effective manner.
Results: Celerity has completed the “Project Blueprint” and is in the process of sharing and refining this deliverable in preparation for creating the technology roadmap. In addition, Celerity continues to work with key stakeholders to understand their unique business needs while helping to coach the stakeholders towards accepting the change that will result from the creation and execution of the technology roadmap.
Challenge: Celerity’s client needed to quickly address multiple compliance issues related to SOX and corporate technology policies, while positioning for an outsourcing strategy to enhance, maintain and support IT platforms. This challenge required qualified professionals with infrastructure and application lifecycle support experience to define and improve processes and implement solutions enabling support of large scale capital markets systems processing billions of dollars in transactions.
Solution: Celerity quickly assembled a diverse team that assessed the client’s challenges and defined the problem statements and work streams. Their diverse backgrounds allowed them to provide solutions that addressed tactical compliance issues as well as established proactive systems management principles based on ITIL®. Celerity implemented a number of improvements including: automated workflow; standardized repeatable processes; enhanced planning and communication; definition and implementation of technical standards; optimized monitoring and alerting; and a knowledge repository for the client. In addition, Celerity supported the client’s on-demand need for development and implementation of an Executive Operational Dashboard Prototype that provided critical, real-time visibility into production incidents and business impact for the CIO, CTO, and Enterprise Command Center.
Results: The Celerity team provided the client with operational standardization and process improvements that will provide a smooth transition to a future managed services environment. Compliance issues were remediated or have been dramatically reduced in the areas of Disaster Recovery, Problem Management, Password Management, and Application Monitoring. Production impacts were prevented or minimized via increased, proactive monitoring. Process enhancements and operational standards focusing on increased production support engagement throughout the SDLC and an Executive Operational Dashboard are being leveraged across the enterprise.
