Richmond, VA  -  April 17, 2012  -  The Richmond chapter of the Association for IT Professionals (AITP) recently launched a new website designed and developed by a team of Celerity employees pro-bono. (http://www.aitprich.org/)

According to Kimion Walker, VP of Marketing for AITP, the site is a significant improvement over their previous version. Key enhancements include the ability to view the site from any mobile device; access to multiple social media channels; and improved functionality, usability and design.

The Celerity web team included Heather Renwick (designer/developer), Lam Nguyen (front-end developer), and Patrick vanLandingham (project manager/account executive). The Celerity-AITP team collaborated closely over a period of six months to define the user and business requirements, design mockups and templates, and create a content structure that met the needs of the audience.

“The site is extremely user-friendly and our IT professional-members really like the design,” said Ms. Walker. “AITP is all about bringing IT professionals together and giving them the opportunity to show off what they can do and who they are. We are thrilled that Celerity worked on this redesign project for us and achieved such positive results.”

With an active community of more than 800 IT professionals, AITP is doing revolutionary things in the Richmond market. The Richmond chapter hosts monthly forums to discuss technology trends, facilitate knowledge and idea sharing, and encourage networking. AITP also hosts events, meetings, and distributes news and information on hot technology topics.

“We are excited to be partnering with AITP,” said Todd Florence, VP of Celerity’s Central Virginia Operations. “This collaboration has allowed us to develop a deeper connection within the Richmond IT community while working with some talented leaders at AITP.”
