McLean, VA - Celerity has been named one of the “2010 Best Places to Work” by the Washington Business Journal. The award was formally presented during an awards ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, VA on June 11, 2010.
Celerity was one of 50 companies recognized as a “Best Place to Work”, falling under the Large Company with Local Headquarters category. “People are the sine qua non of any successful organization,” said CEO, Michael Berkman. “Our continued success is a direct result of the hard-work and dedication that our employees put forth every day and receiving this honor would not be possible without their contributions”. The award represents Celerity’s commitment to upholding the highest workplace standards and their dedication to fostering a positive and dynamic environment for all employees.
The competitive selection process began earlier this year during the nomination period when hundreds of companies were nominated as a Best Place to Work. The nominated companies then received an Employee Engagement Survey to distribute to their employees. The survey was completely anonymous and was conducted by and independent research firm, Quantum Workplace. It measured employees’ opinions toward their company, managers, co-workers, culture, environment and their jobs. Employee feedback from the survey commended Celerity’s ability to provide a strong foundation for its employees and clients while continuing to grow.
Director of Human Resources, Suzanne Nikolaus, attributes the company’s support of their driven and talented team to making it a best place to work: “We are dedicated to providing our top notch staff with challenging and exciting opportunities and a rewarding work-life experience so they can achieve their professional vision. We are proud of our commitment to our team and to be recognized among the list of honorees as a 2010 Best Places to work in Greater Washington”.

New York, NY - Celerity is pleased to announce they have won a two-phased Statement of Work (SOW) with a major health care client. The SOW entails assessment and project management for the client’s business testing activities across its strategic technology platform that is being developed to radically change the manner in which the client provides and manages health care for patients, doctors and corporate clients. The opportunity arose due to the long standing relationship that EJ Winn, Service Delivery Director New York, and Maureen Carroll, Account Executive in the Hartford office, have with the client manager.
The project has many aspects to consider including the need to perform a quick assessment, prioritize an action plan to document test cases, content and scenarios and to execute the test strategy to support the project. It is a unique fit for Celerity consultants that will allow them to leverage our test management framework through performing the assessment and creating an execution strategy.
In the first phase, Celerity consultants will analyze the current business operating environment and create a business test strategy that will conduct extensive testing of the application. Celerity will partner with the business user team to align test scenarios with business processes and recommended a governance model to manage scenario and content development. Additionally, Celerity will support the business in defining and executing the business test plan. During the second phase, our consultants will focus on the execution of the business test strategy. This includes the execution of the test activities to provide the desired functional testing needs of the business scenarios and content as well as a change management strategy to address the quality review procedures and identification and remediation of defects. Celerity’s approach to this engagement will insure that there is proper alignment between the business and IT test plans and the execution of all test activity.
