The Washington Business Journal Names Celerity as a “Best Place to Work”

Friday, June 11th, 2010

McLean, VA - Celerity has been named one of the “2010 Best Places to Work” by the Washington Business Journal.  The award was formally presented during an awards ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, VA on June 11, 2010.

Celerity was one of 50 companies recognized as a “Best Place to Work”, falling under the Large Company with Local Headquarters category.  “People are the sine qua non of any successful organization,” said CEO, Michael Berkman. “Our continued success is a direct result of the hard-work and dedication that our employees put forth every day and receiving this honor would not be possible without their contributions”.  The award represents Celerity’s commitment to upholding the highest workplace standards and their dedication to fostering a positive and dynamic environment for all employees.

The competitive selection process began earlier this year during the nomination period when hundreds of companies were nominated as a Best Place to Work.  The nominated companies then received an Employee Engagement Survey to distribute to their employees.  The survey was completely anonymous and was conducted by and independent research firm, Quantum Workplace.  It measured employees’ opinions toward their company, managers, co-workers, culture, environment and their jobs. Employee feedback from the survey commended Celerity’s ability to provide a strong foundation for its employees and clients while continuing to grow.

Director of Human Resources, Suzanne Nikolaus, attributes the company’s support of their driven and talented team to making it a best place to work: “We are dedicated to providing our top notch staff with challenging and exciting opportunities and a rewarding work-life experience so they can achieve their professional vision.  We are proud of our commitment to our team and to be recognized among the list of honorees as a 2010 Best Places to work in Greater Washington”.

Celerity is seeking candidates to fill positions in all practice areas. For information on becoming part of the Celerity team, please visit Celerity’s careers page.
