Celerity Announces New Service Delivery Director in New York, NY Office

New York, NY  -  February 27, 2012  -  Celerity is pleased to announce Michael Vetrano as our new Service Delivery Director in the NY Office. He is responsible for all aspects of service delivery and consulting solutions for the New York region.

Prior to joining Celerity, Michael served as a Principal at Hewlett Packard within their Capital Markets consulting services group where he focused on information management, strategy and delivery- related initiatives for Tier 1 banks and brokerage firms as well as data providers. While at HP, Michael provided thought leadership and oversight to help grow the practice and overall footprint across the financial services vertical and information management horizontal.

Before working at HP, Michael was a Senior Consultant at Capco, where he led information management, reference data, enterprise transformation, business process outsourcing (BPO) and strategy-related engagements for many of the top capital markets and technology firms. Michael was responsible for delivery, thought leadership and practice growth at Capco.

Michael also worked as a Senior Manager at ADP, Brokerage Services Group (Broadridge) within their Investor Communication Services division. He was charged with product and delivery oversight for their Information/Document Management solutions. Michael began his career in professional services 16 years ago as an Analyst at Computershare, an Australian-based provider of data processing and technology solutions.

Celerity Government Solutions Award DHS/TSA Contract

McLean, VA  -  February 7, 2012  -  Celerity Government Solutions, in partnership with its small business 8(a) Partner, Hickory Ground Solutions, is excited to announce that we have been awarded a $4M, one-year, sole-source contract to provide Lean Six Sigma Training and Consulting Services to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agency. TSA has implemented a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) program to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Agency operations in order to comply with Executive Order 13450 and the GPRA Modernization Act of 2010, which require the Agency to continuously improve Agency operations. The LSS program will also help to measure and report improvements to Congress, as well as support the aggressive improvement objectives set by leadership. The Agency sought additional contractor support for mentorship, consultative assistance, program management support, classroom training, strategic planning and risk management as well as metrics development, reports and tracking.

Celerity Government Solutions will provide a team of well qualified resources to provide LSS services. These resources not only have experience in LSS training, coaching and mentoring, but also subject matter expertise in domain areas critical to the success of TSA LSS projects.“This is a significant strategic win for CGS and another important step in building out our prime government contracting business as well as our Business Process Management Practice in our government space. Global Health Service Company Awards Celerity Prime Vendor Contract

Global Food Retailer Awards Celerity Vendor Management Contract

Mechanicsburg, PA  -  December 6, 2011  -    Today Celerity announced it has won a three-year, $30 million contract to provide vendor management services to a large international food retailer with supermarkets in the US and Europe.

Effective September 1, 2011, Celerity will manage the client’s network of technology vendors, including ten suppliers and 75 consultants in three key locations.

“We are very excited to help this prominent retailer with its talent acquisition and management processes,” said Jim Bailoni, President of Celerity PA. “Celerity has refined its talent practices over many years and thousands of technology positions. We are thrilled to bring this level of experience to benefit our global client–ensuring they receive the best resources in their local markets.”

As part of the client’s focus on improving overall operations, Celerity will implement best-in-class human resources and recruiting procedures for diverse technology initiatives. Specific skill sets Celerity will target include business analyst, project management, and Oracle positions.

Celerity Richmond Crosses 100 Employee Mark. And is Still Climbing.

McLean, VA  -  December 1, 2011  -  After entering the Richmond market in 2007, Celerity, a business and technology consulting firm, recently crested the 100-employee mark – and is still hiring.

Given the fact that Celerity started with just three employees and one local client, this is a noteworthy accomplishment for the privately-owned firm. The company credits its success in the Richmond market to its trusted client partnerships, high-caliber consulting teams, and strong local leadership.

Managing Director, Todd Florence, is the driving force behind that leadership. “Opening a new office is always a risk, especially considering the state of the economy at the time,” said Florence. “But it was a risk the business was willing to take given our track record of successfully delivering for our Richmond clients.” Despite the high risk, Florence was confident and determined to make it work. So determined that he relocated his family, including two school-aged children, from Northern Virginia to Glen Allen in 2008 and opened the new Celerity office.

“The move to Richmond has been great for our family. We have more time with our daughters and the community has been very welcoming,” said Florence.

Four years later, Florence can look back and realize that the risk was worth the reward. Celerity’s Richmond operations have grown to $13 million in a short period of time. Its recent growth spurt is due to its expanding client base, new vertical markets focus, and its flexible approach.   

“We can engage and support our clients in a number of ways – from providing managed staffing services to project-based, co-sourced or fully outsourced consulting solutions. It all depends on what our clients need and what will work best in their environment,” says Florence.  “We understand that each client and engagement is unique, so we put our client’s business needs at the forefront. Instead of approaching our clients with a cookie-cutter solution in mind, we tailor a solution that will help resolve their core business issues,” Florence added. 

This model has resulted in a company that’s very easy to work with. Many of Celerity’s 106 consultants work onsite at various local client offices, providing a range of solutions including web design, development, and implementation; business process management and improvement; business and operational analysis; and project and program management.

The pace is not slowing at Celerity, which is fitting for a company defined by “swiftness in action.” The company is looking to add more consultants to its Richmond team, from e-commerce specialists and web developers to business process engineers, project managers, and operations analysts.

 “I’ve worked at Celerity for 8 years and in consulting and IT for more than 15 years, and have seen a lot of growth and success, but what’s going on right now at our Richmond location is really exciting. We just need to find the right talent to support our clients and our continued growth,” said Florence.
