National energy company in the Fortune 100 needed to improve the efficiency of its retail gas sales team. The sales team had previously deferred all system and data processing to a support staff due to the high level of technical expertise required for the previous solution. The client engaged Celerity to improve operational efficiencies for both the sales and support teams through the development of a streamlined, enterprise web application.
The new web application would consolidate internal data repositories and integrate with multiple downstream systems to deliver the most relevant information to the sales team through a user-friendly interface. Celerity completed this project with an Agile development team in our Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, delivery center.
The Agile team worked in two-week sprints to complete three project phases, with each phase coming in under budget. They also analyzed data repositories and studied scattered data resources to provide direction on consolidation. The team leveraged previously established security technology by hosting the portal on the company’s custom application platform. This also provided a data integration between the sales portal and the company’s CRM.
Celerity’s development team ran the Agile project while adhering to the client's IT release schedule and release documentation, UAT process, and milestone dates. The sales portal was well-received due to its timesaving integrations that eliminated manual entry and safeguarded data. Compatible on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, the app allows sales teams to efficiently manage their pipelines with powerful reporting and transparency.
